Children's Day 2010

We've been promising Baby G that we'll bring him for cycling, however due to the unpredictable weather (and the fact that we've been a bit lazy), we've never gotten round to it. Finally, on Children's Day when both of us took leave to keep our promise to Baby G.
It was a relatively hot day. Slight breeze with warm sun. Baby G decided to goof around while I tried to get some shots of him & Daddy.
After the long ride from the bicycle kiosk to the jetty and back, we stopped for some delicious & super cool ice cream.
Lunch was @ Popeyes at the Singapore Flyer. Baby G enjoyed his single drumstick & a bunch of fries. Not only that, the place had Tom & Jerry cartoons showing which kept him sufficiently occupied while we had our lunch peacefully.
After lunch, we met up with ES & YP to attend the Children's Day activies at the Esplanade. We watched a couple of shows and did some of the activies like colouring. Although, Baby G wasn't really into it. It was a pretty half hearted attempt to do the drawing.
In case you are not sure, Baby G was trying to draw fishes in the sea. The green lines were the waves & the purple coloured shapes were the fishes. Go figure.
Dinner was at a place near Textile Centre, on recommendation from ES. They served delicious 鱼头炉. The cereal prawns were delicious, fresh & easy to de-shell. The 四大天王 dish was in a class of its own. 4 simple vegetables cooked with so much flavour. Thanks ES & YP for the wonderful dinner, made even more enjoyable by the lovely company.
After the very jam-packed day, Baby G is all tired out (Daddy too). The 2 boys slept before 9pm. *Yawn* It's my turn to rest.
