Bear & Chicken Get Ready for School

It was a pretty last minute decision to bring Baby G to attend a play by Act 3 called 'Bear & Chicken Get Ready for School". We only booked our tickets a few days before the play. We went with Auntie Stef & gor-gor Zac Zac.

The play started at 2pm, so we had plenty of time after Baby G's class. We stopped by at Ah Chang's Porridge @ Tiong Bahru for a light lunch so that Baby G won't be hungry during the show. We also dropped by Ah Ma's shop and checked out the aquariums at the markets.

We met up with Auntie Stef, Uncle Dan & gor gor Zac Zac at the SRT for the play. We had first-row seats and initially, the 2 boys were pretty afraid to be so up close to the stage. Zac Zac calmed down much faster and sat on his own seat, whereas for Baby G, he sat on my lap almost throughout the entire show. Only left the last 10mins then he told me "Mummy, I'm not afraid already, I want to sit on my own chair". I would say, overall, he enjoyed the show and til now, he still remembers bits & pieces of the show. He also told me that he would like to watch another show.

If time permits, I think we'll arrange to watch the next show entitled "Upstairs in the Sky".

My Birthday

My birthday has always been spent with loved ones. This year is no different. Daddy managed to take leave to spend the day with me, just the 2 of us.

Baby G went to school as usual. We dropped by Borneo's service centre to check on the air conditioning for our car cause it didn't seem as cool as previously, or perhaps it's due to the really warm weather. It took longer than expected and we left the car at the workshop to have our breakfast, which was already 10am by then. We took the free shuttle ride to Junction 8 & had Toast Box for breakfast. We went back & our car was ready for collection.

We decided to catch the 'Clash of the Titans' at Marina GV at 2:30pm. We decided to have lunch at Fin Seafood (place kinda small, food not that great, i wouldn't recommend anyone there) & then some shopping.

Movie was not too bad, but I prefer the predecessor, starring Harry Hamlin.

By the time the movie ended, it was almost time to pick Baby G up & meet my parents for dinner. Dinner was at Henderson Road and was one of the shops that was mentioned in the Channel 8 Show (Zi Char Lai Liao... or something like that). Again, the food was kinda disappointing but perhaps we expected too much.

The best part is of coz the traditional cake cutting.... where as usual, we would sing the birthday song 4 times... 1 in English, 1 in Chinese, 1 in Malay & the last one is by Baby G who 'composed' his own song to the tune of 'Happy Birthday'.
