Over the weekend, we finally went down to Jurong Point. We've been saying that we wanted to check out new shopping mall. Glad that we did as we found a really nice makan place. Service was fast & somehow, the food made you feel warm and cosy.

睻 雄 老 师
Recently Baby G started role-playing. He would pretend to be a teacher reading books to his children. As for me, sometimes I am the student and sometimes I am his fellow teacher.
Every page he turns, he'll say "one day...." (although the way he pronounces it, it's actually "long day") and then he'll tell the story based on the pictures in the book.
I managed to coax him to tell me a story while recording him on video.

Happy Birthday YeeYee!
I know this post is super-duper late, but better late than never.
We celebrated YeeYee's birthday on 27th Dec. It was a bright and sunny Sunday morning, perfect for what we planned to do that day : Cycling.
We celebrated YeeYee's birthday on 27th Dec. It was a bright and sunny Sunday morning, perfect for what we planned to do that day : Cycling.
We went over to pick Mama, Grandpa & YeeYee up and headed down to Jalan Tua Kong for breakfast. Then we drove down to ECP for our cycling trip. Initially Baby G was very fearful of being put in front of Daddy's bike. I guess it's because it felt really unsteady & had a feeling of falling. He resisted at first, but after a while, he started to tell his Daddy "Faster, faster" and wanted to race with us.
We rode for about an hour before taking a break at Macdonalds. Baby G was the designated person to look after our bikes. I must say, he was pretty serious in the task at hand. Good job, Baby G.
After our short break, we continued to cycle to The Playground (formerly Big Splash). We thought by then Baby G would be tired out but instead he kept asking Daddy to go faster so that he can race with us.
For lunch, we went to Parkway's The Caffe Bar. Not many people so it was pretty cosy. The set lunch came with free flow of Ciabatta bread which was delicious, especially after lightly toasting them.
After the lunch, we did some light shopping to work off all the good food we just had. Then we headed on home to get some rest before our dinner.
Dinner was at Riverview Hotel for their Chinese A-la-carte buffet. This time we were just too busy ordering to remember to take photos. Haha... so nothing to show. All I can say is that the food was not too bad and some of the dishes were pretty interesting.
Not to forget, the must-have item for all our birthdays is the traditional cake cutting & birthday song singing. With Baby G around, singing the traditional song became much more interesting with the 3 languages plus his own version of 'Happy Birthday to you'.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YEEYEE

Wishes for 2010
We went to watch "Tick, Tack & Tock : The Farmer & the Cookie" at the Eslanade Recital Hall on 20th Dec, Sun with our friends. It's the first time we went to watch a mini-musical with Baby G. We decided to start 'small'; a simple 45min show so that Baby G doesn't get too overwhelmed. As expected, he didn't really like the show, although Zac gor gor enjoyed himself very much. But glad to say, he didn't cry nor freak out and just watched (or rather, stared at) the show.
At the end of the show, I asked him if he liked it and he told me "no". Quite disappointed with his response. Then I asked him if he wanted to take a photo with the cast, I expected a "no" again but he surprised me by agreeing to pose with them. He was even ok to go on his own to take the photo.
==> Cast of 'Tick, Tack & Tock' with Baby GAfter the show, we went to look for Daddy at the Library@Esplanade. We took a walk outside and saw the huge white balloons along the bay. They were also handing out the balloons for us to write our hopes & dreams.
Since Baby G not yet up to par with his writing, and yet, we didn't want to leave him out. We asked him to draw an apple. That's the only thing he knows how to draw. haha. He also drew a snake which basically was simply a long, never-ending single line.
