Happy Birthday Daddy

It's Daddy's big day today. In the morning, after Baby G was done with his milk, I told him "It's daddy's birthday today, so later you go wish him, okay?". His response was "Huh? Again?". Must have been the celebration on Saturday, making him think Daddy has 2 birthdays.. haha.

We had quite a few things planned out today.
(1) Upgrade our Wish
(2) Watch Harry Porter
(3) Dinner @ St. Regis
In the end, (1) took longer than expected so we only managed 2 out of the 3 things.
New side indicators, illuminated scuff plates, mufflers, Visor ==> My gift to Daddy
Since we didn't managed (2), we just shopped around AMK Hub until it was time to pick Baby G from school.
Dinner was at St. Regis; the Brasserie Les Savuers. Ambience was very cosy, service impeccable, food classy. Also, my first time trying 'Wagyu'... now I know why they say the beef simply melts in your mouth. It was just soooo tender. Yummy!
Baby G's potato & leek soup, Mummy's Wagyu & Daddy's fresh oysters.

Daddy's Chicken main course, our sushi (very fresh!) & our coffee (special looking sugar cubes)

Again, happy birthday to Daddy!

Daddy's Party

Daddy's reaching the big 4-0 soon... so I decided to organize a small party with our friends whom we have known for almost 15years (time flies, huh guys?)

To give it a more party feel, I bought some simple deco for the house, just some balloons & a 'Happy Birthday' banner.

I decided on pizza & some side orders as it's the most convenient (most important, minimal cleaning up is required.. heh heh).
==> this is our dinner ==> Gor gor Zac Zac posing.....

I also tried my chocolate mousse on them. But I think that one needs more improvement. The consistency was kinda soft (think need to use less eggs).. taste-wise, it varied as some found it a tad too sweet and some felt it was ok. The cherries, however, were well-received & so was the red moscato wine from ES. (Thanks ES for the wine)
I must say I was quite surprised at Baby G's behaviour, I expected him to be shy around the kids, but after a while of warming up, he lost his shyness & started mixing around. He took out his Thomas The Train set and played together with gor gor Zac Zac. Soon, Kate mei mei also arrived and Baby G started taking out more of his toys to share. Although there were a few instances where Baby G turned a little selfish, but I think he has improved since the last time the kids played together.

Kate was really enthralled by the "house".. :)

Soon it was time for the traditional cake cutting & birthday song...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!

Marina Pier

On Saturday, we wanted to bring Baby G down to watch the planes in action for National Day at Marina Barrage. However, we were not allowed to turn in hence we went to Marina Pier instead.

It was breezy and cooling, we wanted to take some photos of Baby G, but he simply kept ignoring me. Just kept turning his head away when I wanted to snap a picture of him. Finally, I bribed him and he gave me one shot of him & daddy.

Look at how Baby G is ignoring me....
In the end, we simply hung around the area and managed to catch 3 fighter planes zooming by.

Some shots taken by Baby G himself... not too bad

Badminton @ Sengkang

It's been a while since we last played badminton together. In fact, it was on a whim that we decided to fix a date to play.

The game was supposed to be from 1pm-2pm but I mixed the timings up and everyone arrived an hour earlier than scheduled. Opppps. Anyways, we brought some kids' stuff to occupy the little ones.

Kate seemed fascinated with the bubbles but too bad she had to leave early for her noontime nap.

Kate has grown a lot since we last saw her... here's the pretty little princess.

And finally, here is the proof that we actually did play..... haha.. if you are able to guess who the players are....

After our game, we had lunch at Brewbakers. I would say, with the wonderful company & fine food, it was truly an enjoyable time... only thing missing was the 50% beer we wanted. But don't worry, there's always a next time, right guys?

Looking forward to the next badminton (aka makan session)

ps. I must compliment Baby G about his gentlemanly conduct. When we asked him to share the bubbles with Kate; not only did he willingly share, he even helped Kate to dip the stick into the bubbles solution and passed it to her. Well done, my boy! Keep it up.

Cycling @ East Coast

This post is one week late. Been very busy with work over the week that I did not have much energy to post anything on the blog.

Finally have some alone time to post.... BUT... the silly blogger giving me problems when uploading images.... had to do it the old-fashioned way and the quality has been compromised. So if you think the quality of the photos are not great, blame it on the problems that Blogger is having.

Anyways, the previous weekend, we went to East Coast for some cycling. We promised Baby G that we'll take his bike for our cycling trip so that he can cycle instead of having to sit tandem behind his Daddy. Needless to say, he enjoyed himself so much. But look what happened to my shoe. Well, you can tell that I have not exercised for a long time. HaHa.

Baby G & his bike.

Time for a new pair of shoes...
